Ask The Omnia Guy: Swapping Presets to Omnia XII
By The Telos Alliance Team on May 6, 2026 6:09:02 PM
Welcome to another edition of "Ask The Omnia Guy", a continuing series of expert answers by the Omnia guy, Paul Kriegler, to real-world questions from our electronic mailbag. This issue's question, from Ryan in Oklahoma:
Q: "Hey Omnia Guy: I see you' ve come out with a new audio processor. Will my presets from Omnia.11 work with the new Omnia XII?"
A: Good question, Ryan. The short answer is “no,” and here’s why.
Despite having the same fundamental processing architecture - a wideband AGC feeding five bands of multiband AGC into six bands of multiband limiting - the underlying processing algorithms in Omnia.11 and Omnia.XII are entirely different.
For instance, Omnia.11 uses our G-Force dynamics engine and Pepino final clipper, whereas Omnia XII is built on an entirely new dynamics platform and introduces Frank Foti’s brand-new Clemenza distortion-canceling clipper.
That said, we anticipate that new Omnia XII owners will appreciate having some factory presets that capture the spirit of their favorites from Omnia.11, and we’re working on emulating some of the 11’s most popular offerings. Watch this space for a more detailed list coming soon!
