Livewire Partner Profile: Yellowtec
As an award-winning manufacturer of a wide range of products for the Media Broadcast industry and one of our nearly 100 Livewire+ AES67 partners, Yellowtec is an exciting player in the world of interoperability. Yellowtec chose Livewire+ to allow their line of audio network routing, mixing, and console control products to interoperate with the growing Livewire+ ecosystem of more than 70,000 installed devices worldwide. The organization's support of the Livewire+ AES67 protocol allows users to send and receive audio with stream advertising, control, and program associated data across its entire audio network.
Recently we spoke with Yellowtec Junior Marketing Manager Kathrin Nimpsch for her thoughts on being a Livewire partner, and the excitement surrounding the upcoming IBC Show.
Are you excited about your continued involvement as a Telos Alliance Livewire partner?
Connectivity is a major issue when it comes to media equipment. Access to various AoIP networks is mandatory for future-proof connectivity. With the US market being our second-most important market, it was an obvious move to get on board with Livewire in order to meet the increasing demand for connectivity. Keeping this in mind, we plan to equip all our products with Livewire+ in the near future. The first step will be a Livewire+ version of our new Intellimix Desktop Mixer. There are a lot of exciting steps to come. Short: Yes, we are excited and very honored to be a Livewire partner and to continue our involvement.
What else can customers expect from Yellowtec at IBC 2017?
With its m!ka Mic and Monitor Mounting System, iXm Recording Microphone, Intellimix Desktop Mixer or PUC2 Audio Interface - Yellowtec sets new standards in terms of technology, usability and esthetics. Exhibitions like IBC 2017 are key to get a feeling for user experience firsthand and give the chance to directly react to the way operators deal with our products. This year we are particularly proud to present a brand-new software release for our Intellimix Desktop Mixer which adds even more functions and pleasure. On top, we introduce Steinberg’s WaveLab Yellowtec Edition which is bundled up with our iXm Recording Mic or PUC2 Mic LEA Audio Interface.
Yellowtec will be on hand at IBC next month. What do you like about attending IBC?
As a member of the media industry, IBC has emerged to reach importance like NAB. Being the most important broadcast exhibition in Europe, IBC is a must visit. It is a great chance to get to know people and get a feeling for upcoming trends. As user experience is one thing we focus on, IBC is a great chance to watch people use our products and to be inspired by them.

Anything specific you're looking forward to at this year's show?
Just like every year, IBC is an important event for us to catch up with our partners and meet our clients face to face. We are proud to have such a great global reseller network. Events like IBC serve as a great platform to take time to gather distributors and resellers from all over the world and to sit down with them and have a talk. We are looking forward to catch up with the Telos Alliance crew.
How many times have you gone?
IBC has been a sure mark in our calendars for more than ten years. Since we first entered the floors as an exhibitor a lot has changed. Be it the way companies present themselves, the visitors or the products being displayed - now and then, IBC has been an enjoyable event every single year. And it sure will continue to be one in the future.
We hope this year's IBC is the most successful yet for our friends at Yellowtec. Thanks Kathrin!
