Infinity IP Intercom Launches in Radio Market

Since its introduction to the television market at IBC last September, where it received a Best of Show award from a panel of media industry experts, the Telos Infinity IP Intercom has been widely accepted across the television industry. Now the innovative intercom device will be introduced to the radio market at next month’s NAB show in Las Vegas.

[Case Study] Colorado Public Radio Makes AoIP Look Easy (And It Is!)

When it became clear that the audio routing system at Colorado Public Radio (CPR) network was failing repeatedly and reaching its end of life, CPR revived its air waves with Audio over IP from Axia. CPR began the conversation about switching to an AoIP infrastructure in its CPR Bridges Broadcast Center located at the Denver Tech Center in Centennial, Colorado, in August of 2015. The Colorado Public Radio family includes three separate services: CPR News, CPR Classical, and CPRs Open Air, an independent music format. According to CPR, its network reaches more than 470,000 listeners via 14 stations and 20 translators, with five studio sites across the state.

AoIP Comes to IPR

Gary Langley is Chief Broadcast Engineer at Interlochen Public Radio, a service of the Interlochen Center for the Arts consisting of two radio stations featuring fine arts and public affairs programming for Northwest Lower Michigan and reaching into the state's Upper Peninsula. A relative newcomer to Audio over IP, Gary says learning the ropes of AoIP was simple thanks to a fresh Axia installation at IPR shortly before he came on. But it wasn't just a transition to AoIP for Gary—it was a transition to radio from the TV world. Gary tells us how Axia, AoIP, and VoIP have made his dual transitions easier than he'd have expected.

Axia IP-Tablet Wins Best of Show Award at Salon de la Radio 2018!

The 2018 European Radio Show / Le Salon de la Radio took place at the Charlie Parker Centre of the Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris, January 25–27. There, Axia and Livewire partner IP-Studio won a Best of Show Award for Salon de la Radio for the Axia IP-Tablet Virtual Radio Software and all its innovative implementations at the booth demo.

Italy’s RPZ chooses Axia for Revamped Studios

Italy’s Radio Punto Zero (RPZ), a historic station in Italy’s Campania region, recently celebrated its 40^th anniversary. To mark the occasion, RPZ embarked on a path of renewal and innovation, including assessing the methods and equipment dedicated to radio production at their facility, and upgrading their systems. What resulted was a move to Axia Livewire+ AES67 Audio over IP technology.
