Yellowtec chose Livewire+ to allow their line of audio network routing, mixing, and console control products to interoperate with the growing Livewire+ ecosystem of more than 70,000 installed devices worldwide. The organization's support of the Livewire+ AES67 protocol allows users to send and receive audio with stream advertising, control, and program associated data across its entire audio network.

Recently we spoke with Yellowtec Junior Marketing Manager Kathrin Nimpsch for her thoughts on being a Livewire partner, and the excitement surrounding the upcoming IBC Show.

Innovative Products to Premiere to International Audience at IBC 2017

The Telos Alliance will introduce several new products to the European broadcast market at IBC 2017 next month in Amsterdam. A number of updates to existing lines will be featured as well. The Telos Alliance will exhibit September 15-19 in stand #8.D47 at the RAI Amsterdam.

In addition to the exciting announcement from the Telos Alliance TV Solutions Group that will break the day of the show, both Omnia and Axia are coming out strong at IBC 2017. Omnia continues to trailblaze in processing with products like the new VOLT processor and software updates that make existing Omnia processors more powerful, without users having to buy a whole new box. Meanwhile, Axia is redefining the future of radio with virtual radio, as well as introducing several new Axia Fusion console products that help broadcasters dial in their console to their tastes.

Telos, Axia a Ray of Light for Virginia Broadcast Engineer 

Ray Lenz is a Senior Radio Engineer for WHRV / WHRO, NPR affiliate stations in Norfolk, VA. With an extensive family of repeaters across the region, the stations serve Eastern Virginia with NPR programming and a variety of music on WHRV, and classical music on WHRO. A consortium of local school districts own and operate the stations, along with a TV station.

After 18 years in Pago Plaza, Kirk’s Samoan radio stations are moving - to a better studio and office location. This means reconfiguring three STL paths and adding an IP Radio link to the mix. Plenty of photos and video of rebuilding studios and a rack room on a tropical island.

When AM Audio Can Run the Gamut, Omnia.7AM is the Answer 

Recently we’ve heard from a number of AM broadcasters raving about the Omnia.7AM. One of them, legendary broadcast Saul Levine, even went so far as to hail the 7AM as a key to AM revitalization.

Clearing unneeded cabling is an essential concern when converting to Livewire+ AES67, and it's crucial to label your Axia Livewire+ AES67 CAT5/6 cabling. Over time, networks grow, and labeling your Ethernet cables ensures the wiring won’t get out of hand.
