On this occasion of being awarded a technical Emmy by the television industry for the *Development of Synchronized Multi-channel Uncompressed Audio Transport Over IP Networks*, I wanted to share the story, the whole story from my point of view, of how this came to be at Telos Alliance. Any story worth reading is worth telling well, so please forgive my somewhat loose writing style and enjoy the ride, as I have over these 24 years. So, kiddies, set your PTP way-back machine to 1996. *(Oh wait..., that was before PTP was invented....!)* [**Read Part 2 Here**](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/origin-story-of-aoip-2) **[Read Part 3 Here](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/origin-story-of-aoip-3)** [Read More](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/origin-story-of-aoip-1) ## [Young People and Radio | Telos Alliance](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/young-people-and-radio) By [The Telos Alliance Team](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/author/telos-alliance-team) on Jun 25, 2020, 9:47:00 AM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) This [original article](https://www.fm-world.it/news/i-giovani-e-la-radio-il-caso-di-timo-piredda-19-anni-inventore-di-un-format-durante-il-lockdown/?fbclid=IwAR1tZbKO2fKUbW5-hgvsYBV1ckAIbGOew0DQHzd4DI3VZ8dfNlJsjev_h2Y) has been translated from Italian. # Young People and Radio During this particular period in time, the youth are using their creativity and energy to find solutions that allow radio to serve its audience even better. 19-year-old Timo Piredda, a very young and talented presenter on [Radio MFY](https://radiogroep.be/mfy/), has created a special format to entertain people during the quarantine, with the help of [Axia](https://success.telosalliance.com/axia-quasar-aoip-mixing-console-family) from Telos Alliance. ![TIMO_PIREDDA](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/hs-fs/hubfs/TIMO_PIREDDA.jpeg?width=1920&name=TIMO_PIREDDA.jpeg) Timo Piredda at Radio MFY with Axia [Read More](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/young-people-and-radio) [![KMFM UK Goes Virtual with Omnia Enterprise 9s High-Density Virtual Audio Processing | Telos Alliance](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/hubfs/IMG_9349%20(1).png)](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/omnia9ptn-kmfm) ## [KMFM UK Goes Virtual with Omnia Enterprise 9s High-Density Virtual Audio Processing | Telos Alliance](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/omnia9ptn-kmfm) By [The Telos Alliance Team](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/author/telos-alliance-team) on May 21, 2020, 9:04:22 AM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) # KMFM UK Goes Virtual with Omnia Enterprise 9s High-Density Virtual Audio Processing Meet Marc Bakos. Up until recently, that has meant hardware redundancy, which is costly and, unfortunately, not always the most flexible. We designed [Omnia Enterprise 9s](https://www.telosalliance.com/Omnia/Omnia9-ptn) especially for broadcasters who need maximum flexibility to move their entire processing infrastructure as needed and to be able to access it from a variety of locations. 9s is a high-density audio processing solution that is designed for use in HA (high availability) situations.  [Read More](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/omnia-ptn-disaster-recovery) Topics: [broadcast audio processor](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/topic/broadcast-audio-processor) ## [7 Key Features for a Smooth Remote Broadcast | Telos Alliance](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/7-features-broadcast-remote) By [The Telos Alliance Team](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/author/telos-alliance-team) on Apr 24, 2020, 12:13:52 PM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) # ![Shaun Dolan](https://blogs.telosalliance.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Shaun%20Dolan.jpeg?width=149&name=Shaun%20Dolan.jpeg)7 Key Features for a Smooth Remote Broadcast Broadcasters are pushing their remote control capabilities to new heights as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt normal operations. While at first, the effects were as small as the reduction of staff and closing of individual studios for cleaning, currently, entire studio facilities are shutting down with all staff told to work remotely whenever possible. Those who have made the partial or full transition to a modern Audio over IP studio infrastructure are particularly well-positioned to handle the rapid onset of the virus-related staffing restrictions. Many engineers have found that the remote control features they already use for troubleshooting are highly extensible and can be slightly modified for use by production staff. We thought it might be time to help untangle the ball of TV audio twine.
